Deutsches Museum Rooftop

Frau im Mondis a new gastronomy project in Munich that will open permanently as a rooftop location in the Deutsches Museum from June 2022.

Advantageously situated, Frau im Mond is located at Museumsinsel 1, right in the heart of Munich. The restaurant comprises an indoor area of approximately 200 square meters with an additional outdoor area on the roof terrace of the Deutsches Museum of 600 square meters.

The restaurant has a total capacity of 300 seats. Opening hours are daily from 09:00-23:00. Fridays and Saturdays from 09:00-01:00.

The underlying gastronomy concept is based on the principle of sustainability. Sustainability is very important to us and is implemented holistically at Frau im Mond- from the selection of suppliers to menu creation and furniture.

Frau im Mondadditionally focuses on fair prices. Our goal: to make sustainability accessible to everyone. We also want to offer transparency on supply chains and the origin of our ingredients.

In addition to a balanced breakfast/brunch, there will also be a lunch and dinner menu. The lunch menu is further complemented by a selection of rotating “bowls” (rice or grain-based salad bowls).

Visitors as well as employees of the Deutsches Museum can additionally help themselves at a snack counter at any time.

The quality of the ingredients and the traceability of all supply chains are given the highest priority in all the food and beverages offered.

Since Frau Im Mond’s location on the roof terrace of the Deutsches Museum is also uniquely suited for events, a von Event team will be on hand to sell and organize various events.

In the afternoon, Frau im Mond offers its guests traditional English “Tea Time,” featuring special teas and petit fours and scones served on etagères.

At least as important as the composition of our drinks was, is and remains for us the composition of the Frau im Mond team. That’s why we want to introduce the people who make sure that a visit to the Woman in the Moon is not forgotten the very next day.
